Gettin' By With A Little Help From My Friends?
Ad deal may keep Microsoft at bay
Written by Shaun Nichols in California
vnunet.com, 18 Apr 2008
Google and Yahoo are reportedly moving closer to striking an advertising deal that could foil Microsoft's takeover bid.
The proposal would see Yahoo hand over its search advertising operation to Google in a deal that could yield Yahoo as much as $1bn in new revenues, according to reports in The Wall Street Journal.
The publication cited anonymous sources within Yahoo as saying that the outsourcing deal had been granted initial approval and will move forward. ... [full article]

Yahoo Outsources To Google!
Yahoo! (Nasdaq: YHOO) wasn't bluffing when it announced that it would be testing the outsourcing of Google's (Nasdaq: GOOG) paid-search ads on its own pages. The taste test is going well, according to this morning's Wall Street Journal. Unnamed "people familiar with the matter" have told the paper that... [full article]

MICROHOO!!! LMAO! I wonder if that was going to be the real name, if Microsoft and Yahoo merged, or just the name that people would have referred to them as, regardless of the chosen name?
At any rate... Google is winning the monetary war on the advertising battlefield.
We here at the Clinic have been watching the wars unfold, using the nifty feature Google provides by having news feeds.
We are also displeased with Yahoo censorship and their cancellation of customer accounts, just because they "voiced" an opinion in their posted content, whether it be on, Flicker, or Yahoo Answers, just to mention a few.
For the Record, The Clinic, is under construction and the amount of content being examined is not happening in a timely manner. We here at, The Clinic, would like to apologize for this problem, your PATIENCE is appreciated.

Board of Directors
Yahoo! Inc.

Dear Members of the Board:
It has now been more than two months since we made our proposal to acquire Yahoo! at a 62 percent premium to its closing price on January 31, 2008, the day prior to our announcement. ...
...despite the fact that our proposal is the only alternative put forward that offers your shareholders full and fair value for their shares, gives every shareholder a vote on the future of the company, and enhances choice for content creators, advertisers, and consumers. ...
...During these two months of inactivity, the Internet has continued to march on...
...public indicators suggest that Yahoo!'s search and page view shares have declined. ...
...you have failed to give due consideration to a transaction that has tremendous benefits for Yahoo!'s shareholders and employees. ... [full article]

Squeeze The Yamster's Balls A Little Harder, Bill!
Yahoo Promises to 'Amp' Up Ad Platform
By MICHAEL LIEDTKE
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Yahoo Inc. believes it's poised to revolutionize online advertising after years of being outmaneuvered by rival Google Inc.
But the slumping Internet pioneer might not get the chance to show off the latest improvements to its online advertising platform unless it can convince increasingly impatient investors that the new approach will produce a bigger payoff than Microsoft Corp.'s unsolicited offer to buy the Sunnyvale-based company for more than $40 billion. ...
...Yahoo is releasing more details about its effort to become a one-stop shop for selling and distributing online display ads ...
...will rely heavily on data that Yahoo collects about people's preferences at its own Web site as well as other online destinations. The practice, known as "behavioral targeting," ...

Can You Say, Tracking Cookies!?
One of our top, top secret reporters, Harry Whytass, has taken some notes about Yahoo.
Not only are they all about the, CENSOR, but also like to track it's users, not to increase a more customized search, for the user.... but to make money off it's user base!
This is not some "come clean" attitude by Yahoo!, this is propoganda to lure a higher bid from Microsoft™... and to justify why a $40 BILLION bid by Microsoft™, was not enough!
If bloggers, blogged about the wormy ways of Yahoo!... well, blogs do have power.
Anyways, from our other top, top secret reporter, Agent 86'd, we have the following info on more, Yahooness!

China: Cotton Import King
...By 2025 it is estimated China will buy as much as 78 percent of all the cotton grown in the world. With U.S. cotton quality high and dollar values low, it seems China is a fitting destination for more American-grown cotton. ...
Not only does China have the demand for cotton, the Chinese have the money to pay for their demand. Currently, the Chinese middle class, which in apple-to-apple comparisons, is at least comparable to U.S. and European middle class people. Amazingly, the Chinese middle class numbers over 300 million people — more than the total U.S. population. ...

Advantages of a Low Dollar Value
Value of dollar favors American farmers
Dec 21, 2007 8:17 AM, By Roy RobersonFarm Press Editorial Staff
For the first time that I remember the U.S. dollar has slipped in value to less than a Canadian dollar. ...
...I’m not an economist — far from it, but one advantage of having a weak currency should be the low cost and subsequent marketability of U.S. goods. In particular the outlook for soybeans, corn and wheat look good. The demand for grain for ethanol conversion and for oil for biodiesal, combined with low stocks worldwide and the relatively low U.S. dollar value look good for American farmers. ...
...If the U.S. doesn’t take dramatic measures to reduce our enormous debt, the U.S. dollar is likely to remain relatively cheap throughout much of the world. ...the big loser is likely to be the U.S. consumer.
...The upcoming U.S. presidential election is likely to have more bearing on this joint prosperity than at any other time in our country’s history. [full article]

So, it is good for BIG BUISINES, be BAD for the worker bees... I wonder WHO would be the best candidate for PRESIDENT? The one wanting to keep the Dollar low? for EXPORT sakes? or keep the Dollar high? for the worker bee's sake? A catch 22? Obviously, we will have to investigate and weigh the pros and cons. It's all about MONEY!
High Gasoline Price ~ Dollar Value Down
Market supplied with enough oil, OPEC official say:
TEHRAN (Reuters) - The oil market is supplied with enough crude and OPEC is not under pressure to raise output, the group's secretary-general was quoted as saying on Saturday during a visit to Iran.
Oil supply to the market is enough and high oil prices are not due to a shortage of crude but rather it is because of the decrease in the dollar's value, ...
..."Because the increase in oil prices is not related to a shortage of supply and because crude markets are stable ... "
Oil prices rose more than 2 percent on Friday as weakness in the U.S. dollar...
Asked whether OPEC members may abandon the dollar for pricing oil, Badri said "each individual country can decide to get its oil income in currencies other than the dollar based on its interests." [full article]

So... There is NO OIL SHORTAGE!? It is just getting more expensive because the US Government is doing it's best to keep the value of the American Dollar, LOW.
Why would the government want the value of their currency low? Because it makes the MADE IN USA goods more affordable for export. Dr. UnSpin will launch an investigative report on the conspiracy to keep the American Dollar, low in value. More later.
One thing about Americans...! We like to drive!
